New Trial Date Set For Ted DiBiase Jr. Amid Legal Proceedings

Former WWE star Ted DiBiase Jr. has a new trial date after being charged with various felonies in connection with the Mississippi welfare fraud scam.

The arrest occurred in April 2023. DiBiase was charged with misappropriating millions of dollars meant for needy families after allegedly unlawfully obtaining funds from the Emergency Food Assistance Program and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families.

DiBiase Jr. is charged with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and theft involving programs receiving federal monies, six counts of wire fraud, two counts of theft involving programs receiving federal dollars, and four counts of money laundering.

The lawsuit has been pushed back multiple times. According to court documents obtained by PWInsider, he will face trial on August 26, 2025.

If he is proven guilty, he risks up to 80 years in prison. That includes 5 years in jail if he is found guilty of the conspiracy charge, a maximum of 20 years for each fraud count, and 10 years for each theft count involving “programs receiving federal funds and for each count of money laundering.”
