Kenzie Paige Faces Max the Impaler at ‘NWA 76’ in Philly

It’s A Clash Of Champions At NWA 76! National Wrestling Alliance Women’s World Champion Kenzie Paige faces unified World TV and Women’s Television Champion Max the Impaler Aug. 31 in Philadelphia

Nearly a year ago, Max impaled Paige to win the NWA Women’s Television championship at NWA 75. Later that same night, Kenzie bounced back to win the 2023 Burke Invitational Gauntlet, defeating Kamille less than 24 hours later for the most enduring title in women’s wrestling history.

On Aug. 31, Paige and “The Warlord of the Wasteland” run it back at NWA 76. It is the third in a series of matches which started nearly two years ago when Pretty Empowered helped Paige upset Max in a tournament final to become the inaugural NWA Women’s TV champ.

Pro wrestling legend “Father” James Mitchell, Max the Impaler’s manager, long discounted Paige’s initial victory as a fluke. Despite her extremely dominant reign as NWA Women’s champion, Mitchell assures NWA 75 better reflects her fate in Philly.

“Need I remind you, Max the Impaler absolutely destroyed Kenzie Paige one year ago,” asserts “The Sinister Minister.”

“Since then, my binary-breaking beast has decimated men and women alike as the National Wrestling Alliance’s first-ever unified World Television champion,” continues the leader of The Miserably Faithful.

He is not wrong. Max the Impaler has evolved into a global phenomenon, defending their championships in Japan, Norway and the UK.

Paige has become a force in her own right, successfully putting the belt on the line against the best of NWA and beyond. None of that can prepare her for “The Warlord of the Wasteland” though, says Mitchell.

“NWA 76 marks the end of Kenzie Paige,” he promises. “Max the Impaler will see to it that she is carried out out Philadelphia’s 2300 Arena on a stretcher.”

Match details remain murky — primarily whether any of the titles are on the line. What is certain, though, is “The Non-Binary Nightmare” presents Paige’s biggest test since winning “The Burke.” The epic clash is one of several marquee matches taking place Aug. 31, when the NWA returns to Philadelphia for the first time in over three decades.

NWA 76 brings hard-hitting pro wrestling action to Philly’s legendary 2300 Arena. That night, the National Wrestling Alliance commemorates “History, Legacy and Tradition” with its biggest Signature Live Event of the year, an affordable, family-friendly celebration of its 1948 founding.

The event will be filmed to air on future episodes of Tuesday flagship broadcast NWA Powerrr. Tickets to NWA 76 are on sale now.
