WWE has officially announced that Backlash 2025 will take place at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, May 10th. St. Louis holds a deep-rooted legacy with WWE, having previously hosted major premium live events such as Royal Rumble, Money In The Bank, and Survivor Series. The announcement follows the monumental success of Backlash 2024 in Lyon, France, which shattered records to become the highest-grossing arena show in WWE history and sold out entirely. WWE is aiming to replicate that energy in St. Louis.
The event will feature hometown hero Randy Orton, who is confirmed to compete in front of the St. Louis crowd. In addition, John Cena will make his first Backlash appearance since 2009 as part of his year-long farewell tour, offering fans a rare final opportunity to see the 16-time World Champion perform live.
Ticket sales for the event are tracking well ahead of schedule. According to WrestleTix, 11,264 tickets have already been distributed out of a current seating setup of 15,045, leaving 3,781 tickets still available. This marks an increase of 1,967 tickets distributed in just the last seven days. For context, the October 7, 2024 episode of Monday Night RAW at the same venue drew 8,296 fans, and that configuration had a total of 17,373 seats. With over 40 days remaining until the show, Backlash 2025 is already shaping up to be another high-profile, potentially sold-out event for WWE.
