Naomi, real name Trinity Fatu, appears to be planning her next move in the wrestling business.
She and Mercedes Mone left WWE in May 2022 due to creative differences with Vince McMahon. Her WWE status has been in doubt since then, and Mone is currently in NJPW.
Bryan Alvarez reported in January that Naomi is expected to return to WWE, while Dave Meltzer reported the same week that she was in talks with WWE but nothing had been signed.
Naomi’s former tag team partner, Ariane Andrew, claimed in late February that Naomi had shoulder surgery and that’s why she had not returned to WWE yet.
Naomi will be in attendance at WrestleCon during WrestleMania weekend in Los Angeles on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2.
On Thursday, Naomi posted her upcoming WrestleCon appearance, and a user asked her in the comments if she was “still in WWE,” to which Naomi replied, “no frien.”
Naomi filed a trademark for the term “Trinity Starr” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on March 20 through Michael E. Dockins, who has helped countless wrestlers secure their trademarks. (USPTO). For the time being, it is only listed for merchandising purposes and not for entertainment:
“Mark For: TRINITY STARR™ trademark registration is intended to cover the categories of hats; Shirts; Sweatshirts; Hooded sweatshirts.”
This could have revealed her new ring name in the future.
