Miro Books First Post-AEW Appearance Amid WWE Return Speculation

Miro, who was granted his release from AEW a week ago, has officially booked his first appearance as a free agent.

Despite being healthy and ready to compete, Miro’s creative direction within AEW had stalled, with discussions reportedly going “radio silent” for months, according to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select. Sources within AEW indicated that Miro hadn’t been involved in creative talks for the past six months, leading many to believe he wouldn’t return to the company.

WWE is reportedly interested in bringing Miro back, as he previously wrestled there before joining AEW in 2020. According to Dave Meltzer, WWE has discussed creative plans for Miro, although it remains unclear if he has signed a contract or when he might return to the company.

In the meantime, Miro is set to make his first post-AEW appearance at Qatar Pro Wrestling’s events on February 21st and 22nd at the Aspire Ladies Sport Hall in Doha, Qatar. The event will also feature Mustafa Ali, Nic Nemeth, Bobby Lashley, and 35 other wrestlers in what promises to be a star-studded showcase.
