TBS Champion Mercedes Mone has taken the build for her next match to another level.
Mone is set to defend the TBS Championship against Billie Starkz on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite. This matchup comes after Starkz issued the challenge on the March 12 episode of Dynamite.
Longtime fans may recall the decade-long history between Mone and Starkz. Starkz first met Mone as a young fan at an autograph signing. A recent social media post even highlighted Starkz’s childhood admiration for Mone, showing her wearing a Bayley shirt in a video package for Mone’s Iron Woman match at NXT TakeOver: Respect.
Mone responded to the upcoming match on social media, writing:
