As PWMania.com previously reported, the post-Night of Champions edition of WWE SmackDown will feature a celebration for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns and his 1000-day title reign on Friday.
According to Fightful Select, internal memos mention a “New WWE Universal Championship” for the show, so a new title belt for Reigns could be revealed during the segment. There will also be a podium where the “New WWE Universal Championship” will be revealed to the world.
The planned presentation is also said to be similar to when The Rock unveiled the new WWE Title belt in 2013.
It should be noted that the new title has yet to be confirmed, and that all artwork is subject to change. This report is based on internal WWE discussions and memos.
On a related note, WWE insider BroozerRasslin stated that the celebration segment will be “crazy” and will currently close the show.
