Top MLW star Mads Krugger spoke with Fightful on a number of topics, including who came up with the steel plate idea in his match with AKIRA at Slaughterhouse.
Krugger said, “You start talking with AKIRA, it’s probably AKIRA’s idea. The steel plate, you talk about the magic behind it, there is no magic behind it. We’re talking about a gusset plate. If you’re familiar with buildings and how construction works, there’s a barn behind my house, and many gusset plates are stuck in the rafters, holding 2x4s and 2x6s together. That’s what they are made to do. They’re not made to be stuck into your skull.”
