Due to scheduling conflicts, the battle between The Briscoes and the Lucha Brothers will no longer take place at Warrior Wrestling 25.
The promotion announced on social media that the match is nixed “after consultation from our friends at ROH and AEW, we have agreed to alter our card for Warrior Wrestling 25.”
It was originally planned to take place in March during a House of Glory performance; however, the plans had to be altered because Rey Fenix was injured around that time. Fans who plan on going to the show won’t be disappointed because they will still be able to watch both teams compete.
Penta El Zero Miedo & Fenix vs. Brian Cage & Gringo Loco, in addition to Jay & Mark Briscoe vs. The Rascalz (Myron Reed & Zachary Wentz), will now take place on the show on October 2nd in Chicago, Illinois.
As a means of making amends, AEW is “sending” Eddie Kingston to take part on the show against Calvin Tankmain. In addition to that, he will be available for meet-and-greets before the event.
It is quite likely that AEW/ROH President Tony Khan wants to save that match for a Ring of Honor show because it would be the first-ever match between the two teams.
