This past Tuesday night’s Christmas Eve episode of WWE NXT saw Lexis King become the new NXT Heritage Cup Champion via controversial fashion after pro wrestling legend William Regal knocked King out with a pair of brass knuckles and the referee disqualifying Charlie Dempsey, thinking it was the leader of the NQCC who used the foreign object.
Shortly after, King took to his official Twitter (X) account to comment on the controversial win, saying he loves his NXT Heritage Cup more than his girlfriend.
King wrote, “I woke up this morning next to the love of my life! My girlfriend was there as well!!! Merry Christmas everyone 😂👑🎄”
