Jon Moxley Pulled From Indy Event, Replaced By Former WWE Star

Jon Moxley was unable to work a lucha street fight for Wrestling Revolver on Sunday night, where he was scheduled to face Gringo Loco.

Former WWE star Rich Swann ended up replacing the top AEW star at the Revolver Redemption event in Dayton, Ohio. Moxley did make an appearance and announced that his doctors would not allow him to wrestle on the show.

Loco eventually defeated Swann in the match. Gringo Loco accused Moxley of being afraid to face him after the match. This would appear to set up a future match.

The former AEW World Heavyweight Champion did suffer a concussion against Rey Fenix on September 20 at Dynamite Grand Slam, where he made the split-second decision to hand over the All Atlantic Championship to Fenix.

Moxley is scheduled to face Fenix this coming Tuesday on AEW Dynamite in an International title rematch from Grand Slam. AEW was still advertising the match as of Monday morning.
