Due to the accumulation of bumps on a person’s body over time, injuries are unavoidable in the wrestling industry. One WWE star who has since returned to in-ring action suffered an injury.
Since NXT Stand and Deliver, where he defeated Grayson Waller in an unauthorized match over WrestleMania weekend last month, Johnny Gargano had largely vanished from the public eye.
Prior to that, in December at a WWE house show in Toronto, Canada, Gargano had a grade two AC sprain. He would return and work a dozen matches after March 4.
Despite aggravating his shoulder injury again, Gargano competed in Sunday’s Supershow live event in Augusta, Georgia, against Intercontinental Champion Gunther. Click here for full results.
Although it hasn’t been confirmed, this match will likely air on tonight’s episode of RAW as WWE is hyping Gunther’s RAW debut after the Draft. WWE will most likely continue to tease the reunion of The Way group (Gargano, Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, and Dexter Lumis) that began last week.
