During WrestleMania 41, WWE officially announced its return to Perth, Western Australia with a major three-night WWE Takeover event this October, headlined by what is being promoted as John Cena’s final matches in the country.
A promo aired during the show with the following teaser:
“This October, John Cena lands in Perth for a full-scale WWE takeover. It all starts with SmackDown, ends with Raw. And in the center of it all, Cena takes the spotlight for one of WWE’s most massive nights in Perth. Three nights, one epic weekend. All at RAC Arena. WWE Takeover Perth this October.”
Commentator Michael Cole also confirmed that a Premium Live Event (PLE) will be included as part of the historic weekend and will be announced soon, in addition to SmackDown and Raw being held at RAC Arena.
This marks another milestone for WWE’s international expansion, following the success of Elimination Chamber: Perth earlier this year. With Cena’s farewell matches in Australia set to take center stage, WWE fans Down Under are in for a truly unforgettable experience.
