Jim Ross Says AEW Rampage is a ‘High Priority Right Now’

During the most recent episode of the “Grilling JR” podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross discussed the life and work of the late, great Eddie Guerrero. Ross also discussed a few of the events and goings-on in AEW in his talk. Here are the highlights:

On Vickie Guerrero in AEW:

“I get to see Vickie every week. She’s remarried. I’m happy for her. She’s just a sweetheart of a lady, but all of them (The Guerrero family) are just super people. Good experiences, good vibes from the Guerreros.”

Ross added:

“She became a beloved character in WWE just as she has become right now in AEW. I’m glad that we have her in our company because Vickie is mature. She’s remarried. She’s happy. She’s healthy. She gives a lot of counsel to the ladies of AEW and I really respect her for that. It’s tough counseling people who don’t understand the business as they will eventually. She’s just terrific in our company and I love her for that. She’s unselfish.”

His announcing job on AEW Rampage:

“Rampage is a high priority right now within the confines of AEW. We want to make this Friday night show good and build a loyal audience and I think we’re going to do that. I really do. I enjoy the opportunity. I did the show with Excalibur and Schiavone and I love it. Just loved it. We had so much fun. When you cut your roster of announcers down to three, everything becomes more manageable. You’re not driving in so much traffic. That was the goal there.”
