At the 2025 WWE Royal Rumble PLE, Jey Uso and Charlotte Flair won their respective Royal Rumble matches, securing world title opportunities at WrestleMania 41. However, the booking decisions sparked mixed reactions among fans, with some expressing disappointment over the outcomes.
Appearing on The Pat McAfee Show, Jey Uso addressed the criticism and responded to those who were “bummed out” by his victory:
“That’s them, Uce. That’s their opinion. They don’t strap my boots every week. They’re not on the road every week. They don’t take the bumps, do the handshakes, or handle the behind-the-scenes grind no one sees—early flights, rental cars. We’re not traveling with security guards. I’m in the trenches like everybody else.”
“I don’t pay any mind to that. I don’t need it. I’m focused—tunnel vision. Either hop on the train or get off the train. There are a lot of haters out there, Uce. They talk because they can’t walk it. But I’m excited. I’m all positive. I never thought I would be at this level. Now I’m here, and I’ve got places to go. Yeet.”
Despite the backlash, Jey remains confident and is looking ahead to WrestleMania 41, where he will challenge for a world championship.
