IWGP Tag Team Titles To Be Vacated After HENARE Suffers An Injury

As PWMania.com previously reported, HENARE and Callum Newman were pulled from last night’s NJPW World Tag League event due to both men suffering knee injuries.

During the event, HENARE’s partner, Great-O-Khan, announced that the IWGP World Tag Team Titles will be vacated. HENARE and Great-O-Khan were set to defend the titles against the winners of the World Tag League at Wrestle Kingdom and the Young Bucks at Wrestle Dynasty.

Great-O-Khan said: “We were the sole leader in the WTL and were the closest to winning. However, [HENARE] was injured the day before the final match and lost everything. I will probably have to give up the belt. The January 5th Tokyo Dome will also be canceled.”
