AEW World Tag Team Champion and Private Party member Isiah Kassidy (Zay) appeared on Talk is Jericho to discuss a number of topics, including his and Quen’s win over The Young Bucks (Matthew Jackson and Nicholas Jackson).
Zay said, “I knew when the Bucks won the championships, whenever they did, I knew in my head that it would be a perfect full circle moment if we beat the Bucks for the championships. When we first came, we beat the Bucks to advance in the tournament and nobody expected it. That was our breaking out moment. I was like, ‘It would be a Cinderella moment if we did it again, but this time actually win the AEW Tag Team Championships.’ I think it was a beautiful story we could have told. I’m glad the way we worked out. Even though it took five years, I feel like it worked out perfectly.”
