Jeff Hardy encountered a terrifying situation on Wednesday night while working a No DQ Match for this Friday’s AEW Rampage episode, which will air on TNT.
The former WWE Champion faced Sammy Guevara in a No DQ match at the H-E-B Center in Cedar Park, TX, but things took a turn for the worse when Hardy appeared to be injured during the bout after taking a knee to the head on a shooting star press.
The match comes at a time when Jeff and his brother Matt have mostly been seen on Rampage working tag team matches. In recent weeks, Jeff has worked more singles matches on the weekly television show.
In the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Hardy suffered a broken nose but no concussion during his match. Hardy told the referee that he was fine, and they proceeded to the finish.
