As PWMania.com previously reported, Abdullah The Butcher has been hospitalized due to serious health problems. Because of his bloody matches, the hardcore wrestler earned a reputation as one of the most violent wrestlers in the business’s history.
His appearance was also unique, as a large man with deep scars on his forehead from years of blading. After working for WWC, Stampede, Georgia Championship Wrestling, and All Japan Pro Wrestling, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.
Abdullah was allegedly hospitalized over the weekend. At the time, he was said to have a bleeding ulcer and required hip replacement surgery. It was also noted that he was about to lose his home.
A GoFundMe account has been created to help him reach his current goal of $20,000. As of this writing, the account has raised slightly more than $4,000. He has struggled financially in recent years, even losing his restaurant.
