As they continue to expand their brand with Dynamite, Collision Rampage, and the ROH brand, AEW has hired a former WWE star as a producer.
Scott 2 Hotty, real name Scott Garland, was a former WWE star/trainer who worked at the Performance Center for the NXT brand from 2016 to 2021.
Garland requested his release, which was granted, allowing him to work on the independent scene. It was reported in July that he was working as a producer for All Elite Wrestling.
Garland confirmed the news while appearing on Wrestling With Johners.
“I don’t think it’s a huge secret that I’ve been working for AEW as a producer behind the scenes, as a coach and producer there. I have an opportunity to do more with them on a regular basis. So it looks like at the beginning of the year, I’ll be going pretty hard with them if everything works out the way I hope it does. It’s exciting. It’s bittersweet because I enjoy doing these tours more than anything.”
