Former WWE NXT UK Superstar Jinny has announced her retirement from professional wrestling. She made the following announcement on her Twitter account:
After a long time away due to an injury, I have made the decision to hang up my fashionable boots.
Thank you for all the memories. I'll remember for them forever.
Every journey has an end, but in life, every ending is just a new beginning. I'm excited about what's next ? pic.twitter.com/XNJyDyRjPJ— Jinny (@JinnyCouture) January 14, 2023
Jinny made her debut in 2015, first for PROGRESS. She competed for the promotion until 2021, and in May 2018, she was crowned PROGRESS Women’s Champion. She successfully defended the title against Dakota Kai before losing it to Jordynne Grace.
Jinny wrestled in a number of independent promotions, including Pro Wrestling Chaos, where she held the inaugural Maiden of Chaos title. She also wrestled for RevPro Wrestling and Westside Xtreme Wrestling.
She made her WWE debut in 2017, as part of WrestleMania AXXESS for WrestleMania 33. She competed in the 2018 Mae Young Classic, where she was defeated in the first round by Toni Storm. She also competed in a Women’s No. 1 contender’s match against Piper Niven (Doudrop) on the first episode of NXT UK in 2021.
Jinny is married to GUNTHER, the current WWE Intercontinental Champion. We wish her luck in her retirement.
