According to Fightful Select, former WWE star Baron Corbin (real name Tom Pestock) and TNA Wrestling star AJ Francis were seen backstage at Saturday night’s AEW Worlds End PPV. The report also mentioned that there is no word yet on whether they were mingling or had an ulterior motive.
Corbin, released by WWE earlier this year, remains under a 90-day non-compete clause with the company and cannot sign with another promotion for at least another month. At the same time, Francis’ current TNA contract is set to expire on January 1st. Before the PPV, Francis was spotted talking with AEW President Tony Khan at ringside with former Hit Row teammate Swerve Strickland, Prince Nana, and Jeff Jarrett.
Other stars seen backstage at Saturday night’s show include Bryan Danielson, The Gunns, and Julia Hart.
