According to PWInsider.com, former Indie wrestling star Billy Reil, who was a regular in JAPW in the late 1990s, passed away at the age of 44.
Reil passed away on Monday after a series of health issues over the past year, but further details have yet to be released on his tragic passing.
Reil was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and got into wrestling at an early age. He made his pro wrestling debut in May 1995 in a match against his friend Trent Acid.
During his time in JAPW, Reil held the JAPW Light Heavyweight Championship three times and the JAPW Tag Team Titles once with Acid.
Reil continued to work regularly until 2009 and held titles in ISPW, JCW, and USA Pro. His most recent match was in 2016 at JAPW Homecoming, when he competed in a battle royal.
