Ethan Page is preparing for a high-stakes clash at WWE Deadline on Saturday. In the Iron Survivor Challenge, he will face Wes Lee, Je’Von Evans, Nathan Frazier, and an opponent yet to be determined.
In a recent Fightful interview, Page discussed his experience working as a guest referee for CM Punk’s Halloween Havoc battle against Trick Williams. While Page appreciated the greater exposure that comes with sharing the ring with a star like Punk, he hinted at some dissatisfaction with the aftermath, adding, “The things that followed were not too cool.”
Since leaving AEW and signing with WWE for the NXT brand, Page has been a significant player.
When asked about potentially taking on a coaching role in NXT, Page responded, “I would definitely say I’m not in a coaching position whatsoever.” While he’s pleased to give guidance when asked, his primary focus is on his own in-ring career. “I’m not just walking around trying to help these athletes jump ahead of Ethan Page,” he added.
With his sights set on victory at Deadline, Page is motivated to rise through the ranks of NXT and establish himself as a top contender.
NXT Deadline will show live on Peacock on Saturday night at 7 p.m. Eastern.
