Eddie Kingston has provided his thoughts on the situation regarding his suspension from AEW.
As previously reported, an altercation occurred in Minneapolis several weeks ago following an AEW promo featuring Sammy Guevara. When Guevara got back backstage, Kingston confronted him, and that’s when things started getting physical.
During the promo, he made some comments about Kingston’s appearance, and Kingston took offense to some of those comments.
They had to be separated, and Kingston was suspended for several weeks. Since then, he has not been seen backstage at any AEW events, but it is expected that he will be there next week.
During an interview with PWinsider.com, Kingston provided the following comments regarding the suspension:
“You know the truth. I wouldn’t lie. I was wrong for being unprofessional. That is the blind fact. He did what he did, and the public can judge that but I know for a fact I was wrong.”
Although he wasn’t backstage at Dynamite last week, Guevara worked Wednesday’s Rampage taping with his wife Tay Melo against Ortiz and Ruby Soho. Click here for full AEW Rampage spoilers for Friday.
