Former WWE star Donovan Dijak spoke with Fightful’s Jeremy Lambert and Joel Pearl on In the Weeds about various topics, including how he feels like the best professional wrestler in the world.

Dijak said, “Obviously, I was fairly vocal about what took place between me and WWE, and my departure there. I was vocal then and I’m vocal now. I feel like I’m the best professional wrestler in the world. Obviously, ‘good’ and ‘best’ are subjective and pro wrestling itself is subjective. What are lot of things are gauged on in the world of pro wrestling is ‘what have you done? What have you accomplished?’ I choose to view pro wrestling from a baseline standpoint. For me, from a base line standpoint, what I can do in a pro wrestling ring is unique and stands a lone in a world where that becomes my own measuring point for myself. Now, my goal is to prove that to be accurate. The only way I’m going to gather enough people’s attention is by showing them, by continuing to show them. I felt like I was doing that in NXT. I feel like I’m doing that in MLW and I need to continue to trend upward and rebrand myself to show that what I said about myself is in fact true and that I’m not just blowing smoke and creating hyperbole about myself. I feel like this is true and it’s my job, because I’m in the prime of my career, to live up to the high expectations that I set for myself. That’s my goal and how I feel about the situation.”
