Dominik Mysterio heated up his feud with CM Punk ahead of their matches next week.

The Punk vs. Mysterio match will take place at WWE’s Holiday Tour house show at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday, December 26th, and at a live event at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, CA on Saturday, December 30th.

Punk’s last WWE match was at the 2014 Royal Rumble. His most recent match was at AEW All In, where he defeated Samoa Joe in the opening match just moments after his backstage brawl with Jack Perry.

Over the weekend, while commentating for the CFFC, Punk stated that he had been waiting for Mysterio to punch him in the face since he was eight years old. This was a reference to Punk’s feud with Rey Mysterio years ago, which involved a young Dom and resulted in Punk’s head being shaved.

Punk was mocked on Twitter by Mysterio, who shared a clip from an AEW match in which Punk botched a springboard clothesline while teaming with FTR against Max Caster and The Gunn Club.

“Punch me like this please…@CMPunk #bestintheworld,” Mysterio captioned the post.
