There was an incident involving Chris Jericho during the 2023 AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door media scrum. Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com provided details about what happened in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
The incident occurred when Jericho interrupted an interview with Sting to further their feud. Jericho used his baseball bat to hit a water bottle into the media area, which hit someone. John Muse, a long-time friend of AEW President Tony Khan, was hit in the face by a water bottle and suffered a cut above his eye. Muse was given medical attention, and Khan and Jericho both apologized to him privately. Muse was able to return to the media scrum after being checked out.
