What did Dana White think of his former 0-2 fighter in the UFC making his long-awaited return to WWE?
During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, the UFC President commented on CM Punk’s surprise return to WWE in the closing moments of the WWE Survivor Series 2023 premium live event in Chicago last weekend.
“I texted him that night after he walked out in Chicago,” White said. “It was amazing. I texted and congratulated him, it was incredible.”
White continued, “I’ve had nothing but a great relationship with him since the day we met. He’s a super nice guy. He’s one of the easiest people I’ve ever dealt with.”
Also during the interview, White spoke about the two losses Punk had in his only two Octagon appearances.
“Look, those were tough fights. You know what else is important? Everybody that he trained with and everybody around him in his camp respected him. That spoke volumes.”
