As PWMania.com previously reported, Sammy Guevara issued a public apology for making a rape joke about Sasha Banks during a 2016 wrestling podcast. AEW then issued an official statement announcing that Guevara has been suspended until further notice from the company.
Cody Rhodes responded to a fan’s comment on Twitter regarding Guevara:
“Sammy will return. And he will be a better professional wrestler, and a better man when he does.”

Cody also commented on AEW taking shots at WWE:
