Cody Rhodes Reaches New Milestone As Undisputed WWE Champion

Since overcoming Roman Reigns to become the Undisputed WWE Champion in the main event of the second night of WWE WrestleMania XL, Cody Rhodes has been riding high. This match was a rematch of WrestleMania 39, in which Rhodes lost to Reigns with the title on the line.

Rhodes began a program with AJ Styles that included him retaining the title at Backlash France and then again at Clash at the Castle in an I Quit Match. At Money in the Bank, he teamed up with Kevin Owens and Randy Orton to fall short of The Bloodline. (Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, and Tama Tonga)

At SummerSlam, Rhodes defeated Sikoa to retain his title after Roman Reigns returned to take out Sikoa. Rhodes successfully defended his title against Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin.

Rhodes will now respond to Solo on Friday’s SmackDown, seemingly setting up a rematch. As previously reported, this bout is not scheduled for the Bad Blood PLE on October 5th.

Rhodes has reached a significant milestone: 150 days as champion.
