Cody Rhodes Approaches Milestone As Undisputed WWE Champion

Since defeating Roman Reigns in the main event of the second night of WWE WrestleMania XL, Cody Rhodes has been going strong as the Undisputed WWE Champion.

This came a year after Rhodes lost to Reigns at WrestleMania 39, where the title was at stake. Rhodes entered into a program with AJ Styles after that clash, which included him holding onto the title at Backlash France and then again in an I Quit match at Clash at the Castle.

Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton were defeated by The Bloodline (Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa, and Tama Tonga) at the Money in the Bank PLE. At SummerSlam, Rhodes defeated Sikoa to retain his title after Roman Reigns returned to dethrone Sikoa.

Rhodes successfully defended his title against Kevin Owens at Bash in Berlin. He reunited with Sikoa on a recent episode of SmackDown inside a steel cage and has since resumed his program with Owens.

Rhodes has now been champion for 190 days and is approaching the 200-day mark. He is currently the 28th longest reigning WWE Champion in history, trailing only Daniel Bryan at 210.
