Impact held a set of TV tapings on Sunday after its Bound For Glory from Cicero Stadium in Chicago, IL, this past Saturday.

It was Impact’s biggest event of the year, and it also marked Ace Steel’s debut as a producer for the company. Steel was brought in for a tryout.

As PWMania.com previously reported, CM Punk did not attend Bound for Glory because he was attending a Chicago Blackhawks game on Saturday night. There was talk of Steel wrestling Gauntlet For The Gold, but that was scrapped because they didn’t want the fans to think Steel’s good friend Punk would be there.

According to Haus of Wrestling, Punk did attend the Impact Wrestling on AXS TV tapings on Sunday. According to the report, he arrived shortly before the tapings began and was led to the locker room.

According to the report, Punk was meeting with anyone who wanted to meet with him, including “key Impact talent.”

Punk was backstage at an Impact event in April. It was also stated that the talent was unfazed because he had previously attended an event. Steel was said to have been “warmly received backstage and seemed very happy to be back to work.”
