WCW certainly had a lot of epic talent over the years. A lot of the talent went on to appear in WWE. Chavo Guerrero Jr is certainly one of those guys. He was way more than just Eddie Guerrero’s nephew too. He had a certain infectious energy, but some fans will remember him most from his stick horse, known as Pepe. This was one of his most famous moments in his run with WCW, but it wasn’t actually supposed to even happen. He has spoken with the people at Why It Ended and he has gone on to talk about the difference between WWE and WCW as well. One of the biggest is that you could do whatever you wanted if you were a Cruiserweight, and his gimmick is absolutely proof of that.
Crazy Times and Different Gimmicks
One time they were running with ideas and coming up with different gimmicks and things began to get crazy. One time they were at Eddie’s house and the kids were running around with a stick horse. Chavo, who loves to bet on horse racing in his spare time, saw an opportunity. He said that he is going to use that stick horse tonight, and the rest is history. He didn’t even tell the people at the event, and he ran with it. The next week he didn’t bring the stick horse with him and there were a lot of signs from people who were asking for it. Pepe, which was the name for the horse, quickly caught on. The Pepe gimmick really did evolve, and he said that it was never actually to become a long-term pal for him. He rode the stick for a joke and ever since then, it was essential for fans to see him with it. Even he admits that Pepe is great.
Why Hasn’t Chavo Gone back to WWE?
He has released a statement responding to why he hasn’t gone back to WWE yet. He’s said that, to begin with, he hasn’t actually been asked. Second of all, he has said that he would have to give up far too much to go back to WWE on a full-time basis. He said that WWE take, and that you have to give up whatever you are doing if you want to be able to commit to them. He’s said that he has a lot going on with Hollywood right now and that he’s even opened up his own cigar company. He has a podcast and a beer company too. He’s said that it would in fact be incredibly difficult for him to manage all of this if he had WWE to work with as well. That’s why he quit in the first place because sometimes you don’t have the best relationship you could have and this sabotages any hopes of having a joyful time. He’s said that WWE didn’t like it at all when he left because it’s all about making money. He believes that if he could make WWE money, he would have been asked to go back but right now it would seem that there aren’t any hard feelings. It is what it is, and everything he is doing right now is because of what he’s learnt from Vince. He genuinely believes that is the truth, from camera work to directing and even wrestling at times. He’s run with what he has, and he has also put in a lot of work to make sure that he shows respect and honour when it comes to his wrestling career.
