WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently spoke on his podcast, “the Hall of Fame,” about a variety of professional wrestling topics including pushing to get Fatu signed.
“That’s my game plan, man,” Booker said. “That’s my game plan. I’m working as hard as I possibly can. Let me just say it right now. I’m giving a big shout out to Jacob Fatu. This is a guy who’s been working his ass off out there on the indie scene, grinding. The thing is, sometimes we make mistakes, but when we atone for those mistakes, that’s when somebody just needs to give you a chance, and for me, someone gave me a chance and look what it’s done for me. Someone needs to give Jacob Fatu a chance and I’m going to be working in his corner as his advisor to get him all the way to that next level and over it if we possibly can. Jacob, if you’re listening to this, just stick with me on this ride.”
On whether Rock vs Roman Reigns should take place at Elimination Chamber because WrestleMania is already sold out:
“If we don’t get that match at Mania, I’m not going to be mad about it. I just think people want to see it. I don’t think they care where they see it. Like you said, WrestleMania is sold. We ain’t gotta sell that. It’s already sold. I mean, so if we put that match at the Elimination Chamber, it would be just as well. No matter when we put that, it could be, whatever it is, we just got to do it and we got to do it quickly.”
