Bobby Lashley is hinting at a WrestleMania 39 match against someone else.

As PWMania.com previously reported, the planned Lashley vs. Bray Wyatt match is still in doubt because Wyatt is unable to compete due to a physical issue. He has recently missed several live events. On Thursday, Lashley took to Twitter to mention that he will face “someone” on The Grandest Stage of Them All.

ā€œ9 days until the All-Mighty takes over @SoFiStadium! Someone is getting the ass-kicking of a lifetime. Iā€™m fresh and ready for a fight! #WrestleMania,ā€ he wrote.

According to a new report from WrestleVotes, WWE has a backup plan for Lashley and that he will be on the card in some capacity. There’s talk of Lashley working a match/segment with LA Knight, and WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin may also be involved. For weeks, Knight has teased a LA Knight WrestleMania moment, while Austin has recently stated that WWE has not called him for an appearance.

Wyatt and Uncle Howdy have been missing from recent WWE TV tapings. Since the March 6 RAW, WWE has not mentioned Lashley vs. Wyatt on television. Wyatt hasn’t appeared on RAW since a pre-recorded segment on February 27. Howdy last appeared on SmackDown on March 3rd, alongside Lashley. Howdy was scheduled to appear on RAW on March 6, but he did not appear.
