Ring in the New Year with one of the biggest and hottest Indie Wrestling promotions as Beyond Wrestling holds its annual Heavy Lies The Crown event!
A New Year’s Eve tradition since 2017, Heavy Lies The Crown ‘24 will emulate live from The White Eagle in Worcester, MA, on December 31st, 2024. The event starts at 8 pm EST and will stream live on IWTV.
Below is the current scheduled match card for this massive event:
FANS BRING THE WEAPONS Undisputed Independent Wrestling World Title Match: Krule (c) vs. Marcus Mathers
Krule has had a dominant reign as the IWTV World Champion and is no stranger to this match. Last year, at the same event, he won the title against Alec Price in this exact match.
Mathers has also had a career-defining year, appearing on some of the biggest shows for some of the biggest Independent Promotions!
Will Mathers 2025 continue to be as successful as his 2024? Or will he hit a roadblock against the big and powerful Krule? We will find out live on NYE!
Nick Gage vs. Drew Gulak
Nick Gage returns to Beyond for the first time in five years to battle with someone he knows pretty well, former WWE Superstar Drew Gulak.
These two have a history that stems back to CZW in 2015. Each talent has taken different paths since then, but their roads eventually led back to Beyond Wrestling, where they meet again!
Aaron Rourke vs. Timothy Thatcher
Aaron Rourke was among the latest superstars announced as a WWE ID Prospect. Thatcher is also no stranger to the WWE, having competed for the company under the NXT Brand from 2020 to 2022.
These two superstars now meet for the first time in what is being advertised as a WWE ID Showcase Match.
Kris Statlander vs. Bryce Donovan (with Mark Sterling)
I have the privilege of sponsoring this match on the card, and it should be a great battle between two CAP Wrestling School Graduates.
Bryce Donovan was one of the first wrestlers named to the WWE ID Prospect Program and has been a regular at Beyond Wrestling & Wrestling Open.
AEW Superstar Kris Statlander was also a Beyond Wrestling regular before signing full-time with AEW. She returns to close out the 2024 year in this highly anticipated match.
Zayda Steel vs. Dustin Waller
This match is another I have the privilege of sponsoring. It features another WWE ID Prospect, Zayda Steel. Steel also had a run for the promotion Marigold in Japan earlier this year.
Dustin Waller has also achieved success as part of Miracle Generation, one of the best indie tag teams in the business and the longest-running IWTV Tag Team Champions in history.
These two look to close out the year on a high note as they do battle here at Heavy Lies The Crown.
B3CCA vs. Anthony Greene
I am happy to be sponsoring this match as well. After being sidelined for over a year due to injury, B3CCA returned to the ring last month at Beyond’s Pop Culture.
B3CCA’s opponent, Anthony Greene, has an excellent resume. He was a former WWE 205 Live talent. He also currently works for Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan.
These two stars are no strangers to each other! They have had several run-ins and matches over the years in multiple promotions. The two renew their rivalry here once again.
Other matches scheduled on the card include:
GAL vs. Ichiban
Ben Bishop vs. CPA
Wrestling Open World Title Match: “Fancy” Ryan Clancy (c) vs. “Hurricane” John Walters
Also scheduled to appear:
Channing Thomas, DJ Powers, Little Mean Kathleen, Love Doug, Sidney Bakabella, SLADE, TJ Crawford, and more!!
