Beyond Wrestling, known for its weekly Wrestling Open events held every Thursday night in Worcester, Massachusetts, has issued a firm directive to its roster ahead of this week’s show.
According to Fightful Select, Beyond Wrestling management informed all scheduled talents that attendance at this Thursday’s Wrestling Open is mandatory. This policy was reinforced due to AEW’s Collision: Spring Break Thru special airing live on the same night from nearby Boston, a rare Thursday broadcast in place of the usual Saturday schedule.
Beyond officials reportedly made it clear that any talent who chooses to skip their show in favor of potential opportunities with AEW will not be invited back to perform at future Beyond Wrestling events.
The policy highlights the competitive nature of the independent wrestling scene, especially when major promotions like AEW run events in close proximity to established indie shows. While AEW’s presence in Boston presents a unique opportunity for exposure, Beyond Wrestling’s firm stance underscores its commitment to loyalty and consistency from its performers.
