PWInsider.com reports that former California star “The Shooter” Tony Jones, who took part in the 1999 documentary “Beyond The Mat,” tragically passed away at the age of 53. Jones was part of a WWE tryout in the 1999 documentary by Barry Blaustein, when he wrestled Mike Modest.
Jones was also known training at the late Roland Alexander’s All Pro Wrestling school in Hayward, CA.
There is no word yet on what led to Jones’ tragic passing, but updates will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
