Barry Windham, the uncle of WWE superstar Bray Wyatt and former WWE superstar Bo Dallas, suffered a heart attack at the Atlanta airport last weekend.
Barry’s niece, former NWA World Champion Mika Rotunda, revealed that he was in the intensive care unit.
Mika took to Twitter on Friday morning to thank everyone who had sent her well wishes. Mika reported that he has been stabilized and is no longer in the intensive care unit. She wrote the following:
“Thank you to all who have reached out, prayed, contributed and sent well wishes to my Uncle Barry this week. I wanted to give an update! I’m grateful to say he is stabilized & out of ICU. Talking & able to stand. Thanks again everyone! There absolutely is power in prayer.”
This is Barry’s second heart attack; the former NWA World Heavyweight Champion went into cardiac arrest in 2011. At the time, doctors had to perform an emergency procedure on him.
We hope the WWE Hall of Famer recovers quickly.
