The lineup for Saturday’s WWE Backlash appears to be set, and the front-runners for the show’s main event are out of three matches.
Top matches include Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes, WWE Tag Team Champions Sami Zayn & Kevin Owens, and Matt Riddle vs. The Bloodline (The Usos and Solo Sikoa) and Bad Bunny vs. Damian Priest in a Street Fight.
With WWE constructing the show around Bunny hosting the event and competing on the show, the company could move in this direction.
Prior to Monday’s RAW, WRKD Wrestling reported that “Priest will continue to heat up his feud w/ Bad Bunny, as they’re pushing to main event #Backlash.”
On RAW, Priest threatened Bunny in Spanish before winning a match against the LWO with The Judgment Day. He pinned Rey Mysterio after the South of Heaven.
Having previously worked a tag match at WrestleMania 37 and then participated in the 2022 Men’s Royal Rumble match, this is Bunny’s third wrestling match. Backlash will be his first one-on-one battle.
