As PWMania.com previously reported, CM Punk is believed to make his in-ring return by early August in time for WWE SummerSlam for a potential matchup with “The Scottish Warrior” Drew McIntyre.
Dave Meltzer noted on the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that while the hope is Punk vs. McIntyre will take place at SummerSlam, it’s currently up in the air as there is no guarantee if Punk will be ready and cleared to return to the ring by that date. Updates will be provided on the matter once it becomes available.
