The Young Bucks’ AEW schedule has become a hot subject among fans in recent days, as they have been noticeably absent from television.
The Young Bucks vs. AEW storyline had been a major focus on television, but it subsided following the Blood & Guts event. Bryan Alvarez recently revealed that The Young Bucks’ current AEW contract requires them to work limited dates, which explains why they aren’t on television every week.
In the most recent edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated that “the Young Bucks missing two weeks, that was a long-planned thing. What we were told is that The Young Bucks had long been scheduled to take time off to sell the Blood & Guts injuries.”
Okada has also missed the past two Wednesdays. In the Bucks’ case, they had arranged a family trip long ago with the intention of taking time off following the violet match. Meltzer also stated that the new contract asks for fewer dates than the previous one.
Meltzer noted that AEW is careful not to book too many dates early in the year.
