All Elite Wrestling fans may have to wait even longer to see Jade Cargill return to television after being absent for several months.
Cargill has been heavily pushed since her AEW debut, and she is now one of the company’s top rising stars. It all began in November 2020, when she made her promotional debut, interrupting Cody Rhodes and announcing that she would be bringing Shaquille O’Neal to AEW. In March 2021, Red Velvet teamed up with Rhodes in a mixed tag team match, which Shaq and Jade lost.
Cargill would later go on to win the AEW TBS Championship before losing to a returning Kris Statlander at Double or Nothing in May, ending Jade’s 60-0 winning streak.
Following the match, she teased on Twitter that she enjoys being outside of the wrestling bubble, and it was reported that she was leaving the promotion. It was then reported in late August that Cargill was backstage at a recent AEW show and that she would be returning to television soon.
In the most recent issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer stated, “There has been no talk of late regarding if or when Cargill would return to wrestle here.”
Cargill recently appeared on Women’s Wrestling Talk for a new interview, during which she stated how much she enjoyed working with Tony Khan and that there was nowhere she would rather be.
