As PWMania.com reported, top AEW star Eddie Kingston was badly injured during his matchup against Gabe Kidd at the NJPW Resurgence event in Los Angeles, California as Kingston broke his leg after getting suplexed into a guard rail.
According to PWInsider.com, Kingston confirmed that he suffered tears to his meniscus and his ACL and he even suffered an injury to his leg. It was also mentioned on the report that Kingston will need to undergo surgery to repair the damage and he is expected to be on the shelf for a while, possibly nine months. The report also states that if the timetable is followed, then Kingston will not be back in time for this year’s AEW All In London PPV as he will only be back in January 2025.
Kingston did tell the publication that injuries are a part of pro wrestling and that he will be back.
