One AEW star has been missing from television for nearly a year due to an injury.
The AEW WrestleDream 2023 pay-per-view event from Seattle, WA at Climate Pledge Arena pitted then-AEW Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) against Aussie Open (Mark Davis and Kyle Fletcher). Following the show, it was reported that Davis may have suffered a broken wrist, though this was never confirmed.
According to Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp, Davis is still recovering from his injury, but he is making good progress. It was added, “What specifically put him out of action has remained quiet, and those close to the situation tell us that they’d prefer it if it was his story to tell, which we will respect.”
Fightful was told that no one backstage knew of any timetable for a return. If there were any, they were kept close to the vest.
