Bryan Danielson broke his arm in the main event of the AEW x NJPW: Forbidden Door pay-per-view event from the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Ontario, Canada in June.

He worked the final few minutes of the battle despite his broken arm. It was initially thought that he would be out of action for 6-8 weeks, but the break was worse than expected, and he had to undergo surgery on July 3rd.

Danielson’s injury forced AEW to make several creative changes, including plans for Danielson to wrestle more on television after Forbidden Door.

In the most recent issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Danielson was told it would be three months before he could return, though he could return a week or two earlier around October.

This would mean that he won’t be in any matches at All In on August 27 or at All Out a week later.
