As PWMania.com previously reported, AEW had originally planned an alternate ending for the main event of Sunday night’s Revolution, which would have featured the returns of several stars. However, specific details about this alternate ending were not disclosed.
The main event saw Christian Cage cash in his AEW World Title shot, inserting himself into the Jon Moxley vs. Cope match for the AEW World Championship. Despite this surprise twist, Moxley ultimately forced Cage to pass out to a bulldog choke, securing the victory.
According to Fightful Select, sources within AEW have confirmed that Luchasaurus was backstage during the event, fueling speculation that he was among the stars slated to return as part of the alternate ending. The report also stated that discussions took place regarding his potential involvement, but when pressed about his exact role, sources became notably reserved.
Luchasaurus has been sidelined since September of last year due to a severe medical condition that reportedly put his life at risk. As of this writing, it remains unclear whether he has been medically cleared to compete.
