According to Fightful Select, the exclusive negotiating window between AEW and Warner Bros. Discovery has officially closed and no deal has been put in place for the wrestling promotion’s media rights as of this writing.
Both sides are still in talks and a deal is expected to happen sooner rather than later, with WBD’s popular streaming app MAX in the mix of the conversation.
AEW President Tony Khan and Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav had a meeting planned in Paris during the Olympics and that meeting is expected to take place this weekend.
Updates will be provided on the media rights negotiation talks between AEW and WBD once it becomes available. AEW programming has started to show up on MAX internationally, although for the fans in the United States nothing yet.
