WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner made derogatory and transphobic comments towards TNA star Gisele Shaw last year at WrestleCon, which would lead to Steiner being ejected and banned from WrestleCon.
Fightful Select reports that WWE staff members said Steiner previously fell out of the good graces with the company following his comments. However, the WWE Hall of Famer is said to have admitted his wrongdoing and that such an incident would not happen again. It is also said that Steiner offered an apology to Shaw, but it is unknown if the two sides have spoken since the WrestleCon incident.
The Steiner Brothers, who were inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame as part of the 2022 Class, were in attendance at Saturday night’s SummerSlam 2024 PLE.
